I'm Late, I'm Late...for a Very Important Date

So, Disney was amazing. I promised Dad I'd do this post and I have been EXCITED to do this post, but I have been insanely busy.

Dad got it in his head he'd do the Dopey Challenge, reserved for dopes. Thursday he ran a 5k with TJ, what an awesome kid. Friday he ran a 10k, alone. Saturday he ran a half marathon with Lisa and GRANT ran a mile, what a killer. Finally Dan ran a full marathon on Sunday. He said to me after "the competitive spirit in me says I didn't race, I ran." Whatever that means Dad. Still crazy to me.

It was amazing to go back to Disney with my family after so long, I think the last time I had been before that was when Dad brought me to Hollywood studios when I was fifteen. We got there on Wednesday, it was raining and I was so excited I broke my phone while dancing at the Wide World of Sports complex waiting to get everyone checked in. We got settled into the rooms and used our magic bands for the first time. Two words: so cool. I'll try not to nerd out but from a business standpoint, allowing the customer to take their entire Disney trip and put it on a wristband to get into rooms, parks, fastness lines, buy food, gifts, anything, is brilliant. The ease of access must make them so much more money.

Anyway, Thursday we went to the magic kingdom and straight onto Peter Pan's flight. TJ and I buddied up for a lot of the trip and rode a lot of things together, Peter Pan's flight included. TJ and Grant went on splash mountain with me even though it was super cold and then we went to Casey's Corner. Dad and Lisa didn't see the thirty minute line they cut and I didn't point it out because I was hungry, whoops.

Friday we went to Epcot. Test Track is awesome. Grant might have ran on Friday because a few hours into Epcot everyone left me and TJ to our own devices. We went on Mission: MARS and came off feeling weird for a few minutes. 3/10 recommend. Spaceship earth though was one of THE coolest things. I never knew what the Epcot globe was, and definitely didn't think it was a ride. We got some food in Germany which I was infinitely thankful for. Im realizing now this is kind of disorganized, but I had the best time.

My favorite part was going to Animal Kingdom with TJ and Grant. They're such good kids and listened to me the entire time we were there. Grant went on Expedition Everest TWICE, so proud of him. He looks terrified in the pictures, but he had fun.

I love Disney. I love the time I had alone to walk around the Magic Kingdom at night, I am eternally grateful I was allowed to go off and explore on my own time. I can't wait to go back.
